The Bright Foundation

With over a decade of experience in financial leadership, Rachel O’Connor, CPA helps business owners turn revenue into profit. As a fractional CFO, she works with companies who are growing fast but need tighter margins, stronger cash flow, and financial systems built to scale.

Rachel has led accounting, treasury, and HR functions across high-growth and complex organizations. She has managed billions in cash flow and advised executive teams on cost control, pricing, and operational strategy.

Most recently, Rachel served as CFO for a multi-entity operating business, eliminating six figures of unnecessary annual spend and implementing scalable finance and HR systems. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at Paycom and worked in corporate finance at Devon Energy and Phillips 66, building a deep understanding of cost control, forecasting, and operational leverage.

Rachel’s work is practical and results-driven. She helps businesses understand true job margins, fix pricing and overhead leaks, and make decisions backed by clean financial data, resulting in stronger cash positions and higher profits.

When she’s not working in spreadsheets, Rachel is chasing her three kids with her high school sweetheart in Oklahoma. She loves baking, traveling, and serving on the boards of faith-based organizations focused on strengthening families and advancing the Kingdom.
